How to uninstall AdGuard from your system

AdGuard has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

The files below were left behind on your disk when you remove AdGuard:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\AdGuard_20230112204001.log

Registry that is not uninstalled:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{6b6d37a0-2f6a-48bd-8f79-a71845b83277}

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\Adguard 7.4.3170.0.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\Adguard 7.4.3170.0.exe.FriendlyAppName

How to remove AdGuard with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AdGuard is an application offered by Adguard Software Ltd. Frequently, people decide to uninstall it. Sometimes this is easier said than done because performing this manually requires some experience related to PCs. One of the best SIMPLE practice to uninstall AdGuard is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate AdGuard or simply click the Search feature and type in "AdGuard". If it exists on your system the AdGuard application will be found very quickly. After you select AdGuard in the list of apps, the following information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding AdGuard, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for AdGuard:

• The web site of the program is: https://adguard.com
• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{685F6AB3-7C61-42D1-AE5B-3864E48D1035}

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove AdGuard.


8. After removing AdGuard, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong AdGuard which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling AdGuard with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
