How to uninstall AdGuard from your system

After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the PC. Part_A few of these are shown below.

The files below are left behind on your disk by AdGuard when you uninstall it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\CLR_v4.0_32\UsageLogs\Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe.log
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\CLR_v4.0_32\UsageLogs\Adguard.exe.log

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Chrome\NativeMessagingHosts\com.adguard.browser_extension_host.nm
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\NativeMessagingHosts\com.adguard.browser_extension_host.nm
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AdGuard
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\Adguard service

Additional registry values that you should remove:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-826733046-1524620559-3762039866-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files (x86)\Adguard\Adguard.exe

A way to uninstall AdGuard from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AdGuard is an application by the software company Adguard Software Ltd. Some people decide to remove this program. Sometimes this is easier said than done because deleting this by hand takes some skill related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove AdGuard is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find AdGuard or simply activate the Search field and type in "AdGuard". If it is installed on your PC the AdGuard program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select AdGuard in the list , the following data about the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about AdGuard, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for AdGuard:

• The software company is: http://www.adguard.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{0d588ee7-2d2c-4b2b-9ce7-e3c9ab817003}\setup1.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove AdGuard.


8. After uninstalling AdGuard, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong AdGuard that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing AdGuard using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
