If you are manually uninstalling 7-Zip we suggest you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Generally, the following files remain on disk:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_UserName\Software\7-Zip
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\7-Zip
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\7-Zip

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserNameSettings\S-1-5-21-898859066-456245982-632535001-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe

A way to uninstall 7-Zip from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

7-Zip is an application by the software company Igor Pavlov. Some computer users choose to erase this application. 2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find 7-Zip or simply click the Search field and type in "7-Zip". If it exists on your system the 7-Zip app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select 7-Zip in the list of applications, the following information about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about 7-Zip, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove 7-Zip.


8. After uninstalling 7-Zip, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of 7-Zip that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling 7-Zip using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
