A guide to uninstall iTunes from your computer

iTunes is a software application. iTunes has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall iTunes:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Главное меню\Программы\iTunes
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes
  • C:\Program Files\iTunes

The files below were left behind on your disk by iTunes when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Главное меню\Программы\iTunes\iTunes.lnk
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Главное меню\Программы\iTunes\О программе iTunes.lnk
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Рабочий стол\iTunes.lnk
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\CD Info.cidb

Registry that is not uninstalled:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aa\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aax\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aif
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.cda

Additional values that you should remove:

How to remove iTunes using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

iTunes is an application released by Apple Inc.. Some computer users decide to remove this program. This can be difficult because uninstalling this by hand takes some skill regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best QUICK approach to remove iTunes is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your computer.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find iTunes or simply activate the Search feature and type in "iTunes". The iTunes application will be found automatically. Notice that when you click iTunes in the list of programs, the following data about the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about iTunes, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall iTunes.

8. After removing iTunes, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of iTunes which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing iTunes using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
