Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you uninstall iTunes.

Folders remaining:

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aa\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aax\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.AIF\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.AIFC\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\iTunes.exe\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\iTunes.exe\shell\open\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\iTunes.exe\shell\play\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{08A6AF6A-8FF2-4a3b-BECF-C2FAC8630BBF}\InprocServer32\
