A considerable amount of files, folders and Windows registry data can be left behind when you remove calibre from your computer.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall calibre:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\calibre 64bit - E-book Management
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\calibre-cache
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Data\23\C\Users\UserName\Documents\Biblioteca de calibre
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Data\43\C\Users\UserName\Documents\Biblioteca de calibre

The files below are left behind on your disk by calibre's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\calibre 64bit - E-book Management\calibre 64bit - E-book management.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\calibre 64bit - E-book Management\E-book viewer 64bit.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\calibre 64bit - E-book Management\Edit E-book 64bit.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\calibre 64bit - E-book Management\Get Involved.url

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\calibre 64bit

A way to remove calibre from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

calibre is a program marketed by Kovid Goyal. Sometimes, people try to uninstall this application. This is easier said than done because deleting this manually requires some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE approach to uninstall calibre is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to optimize your system.

• visit Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate calibre or simply click the Search feature and type in "calibre". If it is installed on your PC the calibre app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click calibre in the list of apps, the following information regarding the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding calibre, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for calibre:

• The web site of the application is: http://calibre-ebook.com
• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /I{E1E819A4-112C-454D-A3BE-FB58C60A2D80}

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove calibre.


8. After removing calibre, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of calibre that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling calibre with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
