A way to uninstall World of Warcraft from your PC

World of Warcraft is a software application. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may receive a notification for administrator rights. World of Warcraft's main file takes around 2.77 MB (2905136 bytes) and its name is World of Warcraft Launcher.exe.

World of Warcraft has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\World of Warcraft

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Blizzard Uninstaller.exe.ApplicationCompany
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Blizzard Uninstaller.exe.FriendlyAppName


How to remove World of Warcraft from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

World of Warcraft is a program offered by Blizzard Entertainment. Some people want to erase this program. This can be easier said than done because performing this manually requires some skill related to Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE way to erase World of Warcraft is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find World of Warcraft or simply activate the Search feature and type in "World of Warcraft". If it exists on your system the World of Warcraft application will be found very quickly. When you click World of Warcraft in the list of programs, some data regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding World of Warcraft, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Blizzard Uninstaller.exe
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove World of Warcraft.

8. After uninstalling World of Warcraft, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong World of Warcraft that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing World of Warcraft with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
