A way to uninstall VMware Tools from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Tools is an application marketed by the software company VMware, Inc.. Some people want to remove this application. This is troublesome because removing this by hand requires some experience regarding PCs. The best QUICK way to remove VMware Tools is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to clean your PC.

  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools category

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find VMware Tools or simply activate the Search feature and type in "VMware Tools". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Tools app will be found automatically. Notice that when you select VMware Tools in the list , some data about the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Tools, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Tools.

8. After removing VMware Tools, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of VMware Tools that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling VMware Tools using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
