The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove VMware Player:

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

A way to remove VMware Player from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Player is a program released by VMware, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users decide to uninstall it. Sometimes this can be efortful because uninstalling this by hand takes some know-how related to PCs. One of the best EASY procedure to uninstall VMware Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

  • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find VMware Player or simply click the Search field and type in "VMware Player". The VMware Player app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click VMware Player in the list of applications, some information regarding the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding VMware Player, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove VMware Player.

8. After removing VMware Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Player that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing VMware Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
