Quite a few files, folders and registry data can not be deleted when you remove VMware Player from your computer.

The files below remain on your disk by VMware Player when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\player.log

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\6A9293482E5A6D74781A12C3DC52F4BE

How to delete VMware Player from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools category

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate VMware Player or simply activate the Search field and type in "VMware Player". The VMware Player app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select VMware Player in the list of programs, some data about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about VMware Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove VMware Player.
