When you're planning to uninstall VMware Player you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below remain on your disk when you remove VMware Player:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\player.log

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player

Registry values that are not removed from your PC:

A way to uninstall VMware Player from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Player is a program by the software company VMware, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users choose to erase it. 3. Press the General Tools button

  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about VMware Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall VMware Player.

8. After uninstalling VMware Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Player that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
