How to uninstall Spotify from your PC

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Spotify:

  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Spotify

The files below were left behind on your disk by Spotify when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Spotify\Data\chrome.pak
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Spotify\Data\gnsdk_dsp.dll
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Spotify\Data\gnsdk_musicid_file.dll
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Spotify\Data\gnsdk_sdkmanager.dll

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\spotify
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Spotify

Additional registry values that are not removed:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Spotify.m4a\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Spotify.m4p\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Spotify.mp3\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Spotify.mp4\shell\open\command\


How to delete Spotify using Advanced Uninstaller PRO
