A guide to uninstall Speccy from your system

Speccy is a Windows application. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. It was coded for Windows by Piriform. You can find out more on Piriform or check for application updates here. The application is usually installed in the C:\Program Files\Speccy directory. Take into account that this location can differ depending on the user's decision. The full command line for removing Speccy is C:\Program Files\Speccy\uninst.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may be prompted for admin rights. The program's main executable file is titled Speccy.exe and it has a size of 5.27 MB (5529368 bytes).

Speccy has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders found on disk after you uninstall Speccy from your PC:

• C:\Program Files\Speccy
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start UserNamenu\Programs\Speccy

Generally, the following files remain on disk:

• C:\Program Files\Speccy\Lang\lang-1026.dll
• C:\Program Files\Speccy\Lang\lang-1031.dll
• C:\Program Files\Speccy\Lang\lang-1034.dll
• C:\Program Files\Speccy\Lang\lang-1036.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.speccy
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Speccy.SPECCY
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Piriform\Speccy
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\Speccy64_RASAPI32

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Speccy.SPECCY\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Speccy.SPECCY\shell\open\command\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Speccy\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Speccy\DisplayNaUserName

How to remove Speccy with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Speccy is a program by the software company Piriform. Frequently, people choose to uninstall this program. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Speccy or simply activate the Search field and type in "Speccy". If it exists on your system the Speccy app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Speccy in the list of programs, the following information about the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Speccy, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Speccy.


8. After uninstalling Speccy, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of Speccy that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Speccy using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
