A considerable amount of files, folders and Windows registry data will not be deleted when you remove SourceTree from your computer.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall SourceTree:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\SourceTree
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Atlassian\SourceTree
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree

The files below are left behind on your disk by SourceTree when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\SourceTree\Askpass.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\SourceTree\Askpass.pdb
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\SourceTree\de\SourceTree.Localisation.resources.dll
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlassian\SourceTree\EncodingTools.dll

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sourcetree
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Atlassian\SourceTree
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SourceTree 1.6.17

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sourcetree\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sourcetree\shell\open\command\
