A guide to uninstall SourceTree from your computer

SourceTree is a Windows program. Read below about how to uninstall it from your PC. The Windows version was developed by Atlassian. Open here where you can get more info on Atlassian. Usually the SourceTree program is placed in the C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\SourceTree directory, depending on the user's option during setup. The full command line for removing SourceTree is C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\SourceTree\Update.exe. Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might be prompted for admin rights. Update.exe is the SourceTree's primary executable file and it occupies approximately 1.45 MB (1518408 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove SourceTree using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SourceTree is an application released by the software company Atlassian. Some people want to erase this application. Sometimes this can be difficult because deleting this by hand requires some advanced knowledge related to PCs. One of the best QUICK procedure to erase SourceTree is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to optimize your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find SourceTree or simply activate the Search feature and type in "SourceTree". If it is installed on your PC the SourceTree application will be found very quickly. After you select SourceTree in the list of programs, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding SourceTree, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall SourceTree.

8. After uninstalling SourceTree, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of SourceTree which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling SourceTree with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
