If you are manually uninstalling ProShield we recommend you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall ProShield:
  • C:\Program Files\Acer ProShield
  • C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\EgisTec\ProShield
  • C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates\EgisTec\ProShield

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall ProShield:
  • C:\Program Files\Acer ProShield\ATWBFClient.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Acer ProShield\ChromeEx\EgisPBChromeExt.crx
  • C:\Program Files\Acer ProShield\CompileMOF_v1.2.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Acer ProShield\ComplieMOF_v1.0_DT.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.EGISTEC
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ProShield.ProShield_Client_Agent
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{0E72DEBA-5848-4126-9308-F7E12FBA069C}
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{4f1cc73f-6df4-4323-a69b-7ec3f53e2f39}

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{230d2df8-25db-4cac-937d-282e3ecdd603}\InprocServer32\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{7B51CCBE-4AF9-44A6-BDAB-D7F7E4C4E6F9}\InprocServer32\

How to remove ProShield from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ProShield is an application marketed by the software company Egis Technology Inc.. Sometimes, computer users choose to remove this program. This can be efortful because doing this by hand takes some experience related to removing Windows programs manually. The best SIMPLE action to remove ProShield is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find ProShield or simply activate the Search field and type in "ProShield". The ProShield application will be found automatically. Notice that when you click ProShield in the list , some data regarding the program is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding ProShield, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove ProShield.

8. After uninstalling ProShield, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of ProShield which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing ProShield with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
