A way to uninstall Poedit from your PC

Poedit is a Windows program. Many files, folders and registry data will not be uninstalled when you are trying to remove Poedit from your computer.

Folders left behind when you uninstall Poedit:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit
• C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Poedit

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\BsSndRpt.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\BugSplat.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\BugSplatRc.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\dbghelp.dll

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gmo
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mo
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.po
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Poedit.MO

Additional values that are not cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Poedit.MO\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Poedit.MO\Shell\Open\Command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Poedit.PO\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Poedit.PO\Shell\Open\Command\

A way to erase Poedit with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Poedit is an application released by Vaclav Slavik. Frequently, people want to remove it. This is hard because doing this by hand takes some advanced knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK manner to remove Poedit is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to clean your Windows PC.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Poedit or simply click the Search feature and type in "Poedit". The Poedit program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select Poedit in the list of applications, the following data regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Poedit, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Poedit:

• The web site of the application is: http://poedit.net/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\unins000.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Poedit.


8. After removing Poedit, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Poedit that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Poedit using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
