How to uninstall McAfee SecurityCenter from your PC

If you are manually uninstalling McAfee SecurityCenter we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders remaining:
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee

Usually, the following files are left on disk:
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\MPF\instLD.inf
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\MPF\L10N.dll
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\MPF\mpf.dat
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\MPF\MpfApi.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to delete McAfee SecurityCenter from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

McAfee SecurityCenter is an application marketed by the software company McAfee, Inc.. Some users decide to uninstall it. 3. Click on the General Tools button

5. All the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate McAfee SecurityCenter or simply click the Search feature and type in "McAfee SecurityCenter". If it is installed on your PC the McAfee SecurityCenter app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select McAfee SecurityCenter in the list of programs, some information regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding McAfee SecurityCenter, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove McAfee SecurityCenter.
