Some files and registry entries are usually left behind when you remove Maxthon 3.

Directories that were left behind:

• C:\Program Files\Maxthon
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Maxthon Cloud Browser
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\Maxthon3Cache
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Maxthon3

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Maxthon 3:

• C:\Program Files\Maxthon\_AppData\Maxthon3\Public\Addons\adblockplus.mxaddon
• C:\Program Files\Maxthon\_AppData\Maxthon3\Public\Addons\default.mxaddon
• C:\Program Files\Maxthon\_AppData\Maxthon3\Public\Addons\maxthonForum.mxaddon
• C:\Program Files\Maxthon\_AppData\Maxthon3\Public\Addons\search.mxaddon

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.htm
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mfp
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.murl
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mxaddon

Additional values that are not removed:
