A way to uninstall MEmu from your computer

MEmu is a Windows application. Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are shown below.

Directories that were left behind:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MEmu

The files below remain on your disk when you remove MEmu:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MEmu\MEmu.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MEmu\Uninstall MEmu.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\Desktop\MEmu - Multiple Instance Manager.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\Desktop\MEmu.lnk

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\MEmu

Additional values that you should clean:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\MEmu\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\MEmu\DisplayName

How to delete MEmu with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

MEmu is a program marketed by Microvirt. Sometimes, users choose to uninstall it. This can be easier said than done because doing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding removing Windows applications by hand. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find MEmu or simply click the Search field and type in "MEmu". If it is installed on your PC the MEmu application will be found automatically. When you select MEmu in the list of applications, some data regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have regarding MEmu, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall MEmu.


8. After removing MEmu, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong MEmu which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
