A way to uninstall HDCleaner from your PC

HDCleaner is a Windows program. Read below about how to uninstall it from your computer. It was developed for Windows by Kurt Zimmermann. More info about Kurt Zimmermann can be seen here. The application is usually installed in the C:\Program Files\HDCleaner directory (same installation drive as Windows). The full command line for removing HDCleaner is C:\Program Files\HDCleaner\Uninstaller.exe /uninstall. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might be prompted for administrator rights. HDCleaner's main file takes around 2.28 MB (2385744 bytes) and its name is HDCleaner.exe.

HDCleaner is composed of the following executables which take 3.12 MB (3268936 bytes) on disk:

  • RecoverFiles.exe (211.83 KB)
  • Setup.exe (141.34 KB)
  • Uninstaller.exe (440.50 KB)
  • Updater.exe (68.83 KB)

How to remove HDCleaner with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

HDCleaner is an application by Kurt Zimmermann. Frequently, users try to erase it. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because performing this manually takes some skill related to Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE way to erase HDCleaner is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows system.

  • download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate HDCleaner or simply click the Search field and type in "HDCleaner". The HDCleaner program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select HDCleaner in the list of programs, some information regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding HDCleaner, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall HDCleaner.

8. After uninstalling HDCleaner, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of HDCleaner that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing HDCleaner using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
