A way to uninstall Google Chrome from your computer

Google Chrome is a Windows application. Read more about how to remove it from your computer. It was developed for Windows by Google Inc.. You can read more on Google Inc. or check for application updates here. Usually the Google Chrome program is installed in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application folder, depending on the user's option during setup. You can remove Google Chrome by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\49.0.2587.3\Installer\setup.exe. Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for admin rights. chrome.exe is the programs's main file and it takes close to 849.32 KB (869704 bytes) on disk.

The following executables are contained in Google Chrome. They occupy 4.62 MB (4848416 bytes) on disk.

After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Part_A few of these are shown below.

Folders found on disk after you uninstall Google Chrome from your PC:

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove Google Chrome:

Generally the following registry data will not be uninstalled:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.shtml
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.webp

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\Application\ApplicationIcon
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5C65F4B0-3651-4514-B207-D10CB699B14B}\LocalServer32\


How to delete Google Chrome from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Google Chrome.
