When planning to uninstall Google Chrome you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders that were found:
  • C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Google Chrome
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Google Chrome

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove Google Chrome:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Cleanup Tool\chrome_cleanup_tool.log
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\176.tmp
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\3704.tmp

Registry that is not cleaned:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Chrome
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Google Chrome
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Google Chrome

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5C65F4B0-3651-4514-B207-D10CB699B14B}\LocalServer32\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
