If you are manually uninstalling ESET Smart Security we suggest you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.
Folders remaining:
- C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security
- C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\ESET\ESET Smart Security
Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall ESET Smart Security:
- C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\callmsi.exe
- C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\cfgres.dll
- C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\DMON.dll
- C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Drivers\eamonm\eamonm.cat
You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\ESET Smart Security - Context Menu Shell Extension
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\ESET Smart Security - Context Menu Shell Extension

- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\ESET Smart Security - Context Menu Shell Extension
Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{13B65A91-FC6A-4FD8-B042-60B788FEB89C}\InprocServer32\
