Numerous files, folders and Windows registry entries can not be uninstalled when you want to remove Dev-C++ from your computer.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Dev-C++


A way to delete Dev-C++ with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Dev-C++ is a program released by Bloodshed Software. Some computer users decide to remove this application. Sometimes this can be difficult because removing this by hand takes some advanced knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best QUICK way to remove Dev-C++ is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Dev-C++ or simply activate the Search field and type in "Dev-C++". If it is installed on your PC the Dev-C++ application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Dev-C++ in the list of applications, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Dev-C++, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Dev-C++.

8. After removing Dev-C++, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Dev-C++ that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Dev-C++ with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
