If you are manually uninstalling Dev-C++ we recommend you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk by Dev-C++ when you uninstall it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\Dev-C++.5.11_YasDL.com.lnk

Registry that is not cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Dev-C++

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\Dev-Cpp\ConsolePauser.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\Dev-Cpp\DevCpp.exe

How to uninstall Dev-C++ from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Dev-C++ is an application by the software company Bloodshed Software. Sometimes, people choose to erase this program. Sometimes this can be troublesome because removing this by hand requires some experience regarding removing Windows applications by hand. The best SIMPLE solution to erase Dev-C++ is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to optimize your Windows system.

• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Dev-C++ or simply click the Search field and type in "Dev-C++". If it is installed on your PC the Dev-C++ app will be found automatically. After you click Dev-C++ in the list , some information regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Dev-C++, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Dev-C++.


8. After uninstalling Dev-C++, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Dev-C++ that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Dev-C++ with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
