How to uninstall Dev-C++ from your system

Dev-C++ is a Windows application. If you are manually uninstalling Dev-C++ we recommend you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Registry that is not cleaned:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Dev-C++

Supplementary values that are not removed:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\Dev-Cpp\devcpp.exe


How to delete Dev-C++ from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools button

5. All the applications existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Dev-C++ or simply click the Search feature and type in "Dev-C++". If it exists on your system the Dev-C++ application will be found automatically. After you select Dev-C++ in the list , some data regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Dev-C++, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Dev-C++.

8. After removing Dev-C++, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Dev-C++ which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Dev-C++ with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
