A guide to uninstall DFX from your computer

This web page contains thorough information on how to uninstall DFX for Windows. The Windows release was created by Power Technology. Check out here where you can read more on Power Technology. Please follow http://www.fxsound.com if you want to read more on DFX on Power Technology's page. DFX is commonly installed in the C:\Program Files\DFX directory, however this location may differ a lot depending on the user's option when installing the program. You can uninstall DFX by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\DFX\uninstall.exe. Note that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. The program's main executable file is titled DFX.exe and occupies 1.08 MB (1131472 bytes).

Some files and registry entries are typically left behind when you remove DFX.

Folders remaining:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX

The files below are left behind on your disk by DFX's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\DFX.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\uninstall.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\Universal\Apps\CABARC.EXE
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\Universal\Apps\dfxItunesSong.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX\InstallLocation
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX\UninstallString

A way to erase DFX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

DFX is an application offered by Power Technology. Some users choose to remove this application. Sometimes this can be efortful because uninstalling this by hand takes some know-how related to PCs. One of the best EASY approach to remove DFX is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general tool to clean your Windows system.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find DFX or simply click the Search feature and type in "DFX". If it is installed on your PC the DFX program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select DFX in the list of applications, the following information about the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about DFX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for DFX:

• The publisher is: http://www.fxsound.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\DFX\uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall DFX.


8. After removing DFX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of DFX that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling DFX using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
