After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are listed below.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\BearShare Applications\BearShare
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\BearShare

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall BearShare:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\BearShare Applications\BearShare\aac_parser.ax
• C:\Program Files (x86)\BearShare Applications\BearShare\ac3filter.ax
• C:\Program Files (x86)\BearShare Applications\BearShare\ammp3.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\BearShare Applications\BearShare\apphelp.dll

Frequently the following registry keys will not be removed:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.AAC\OpenWithList\BearShare.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aif\OpenWithList\BearShare.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aifc\OpenWithList\BearShare.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aiff\OpenWithList\BearShare.exe

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\BearShare.exe\shell\Read\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AudioCD\shell\PlayWithBearShare\Command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\BearShare.AudioCD\Shell\Play\Command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\BearShare.AudioCD\Shell\Rip\Command\

How to remove BearShare from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BearShare is a program by the software company Musiclab, LLC. Frequently, computer users decide to remove this program. • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find BearShare or simply activate the Search field and type in "BearShare". The BearShare app will be found automatically. After you select BearShare in the list of programs, some information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about BearShare, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove BearShare.


8. After uninstalling BearShare, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of BearShare that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling BearShare with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
