A guide to uninstall BOINC from your computer

A way to delete BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is an application released by the software company Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Sometimes, people try to uninstall this program. This can be easier said than done because doing this by hand takes some know-how related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE manner to uninstall BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general tool to optimize your system.

  • download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find BOINC or simply click the Search feature and type in "BOINC". The BOINC application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click BOINC in the list , some information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about BOINC, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall BOINC.

8. After removing BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of BOINC that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
