How to uninstall BOINC from your computer

A way to delete BOINC from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is an application by Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Sometimes, computer users choose to remove this application. Sometimes this is easier said than done because removing this manually takes some knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE practice to remove BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your PC.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate BOINC or simply activate the Search feature and type in "BOINC". The BOINC program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select BOINC in the list of programs, some data about the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about BOINC, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{D300E4D4-2FCB-4634-A8C8-1C89812EA204}

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall BOINC.


8. After removing BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong BOINC which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
