When planning to uninstall BOINC you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories found on disk:

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley\BOINC Screensaver
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{905D6095-7F38-43F3-82A4-8A36E5A00FAD}
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley\BOINC Setup

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{905D6095-7F38-43F3-82A4-8A36E5A00FAD}\InstallLocation

A way to erase BOINC from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is an application released by Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Some people decide to uninstall this application. This can be hard because removing this manually requires some experience related to Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE approach to uninstall BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding BOINC, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for BOINC:

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall BOINC.


8. After removing BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong BOINC that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing BOINC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
