How to uninstall Atom from your computer

This page contains detailed information on how to remove Atom for Windows. The Windows release was created by GitHub Inc.. Further information on GitHub Inc. can be seen here. The application is often found in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\atom folder (same installation drive as Windows). The full command line for uninstalling Atom is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\atom\Update.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for administrator rights. Atom's primary file takes around 421.50 KB (431616 bytes) and is named atom.exe.

How to delete Atom from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Atom is a program by the software company GitHub Inc.. Frequently, users want to uninstall this program. Sometimes this can be troublesome because deleting this manually requires some skill related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY manner to uninstall Atom is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs existing on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Atom or simply click the Search feature and type in "Atom". If it is installed on your PC the Atom application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Atom in the list of apps, some information regarding the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding Atom, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Atom.


8. After removing Atom, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Atom that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Atom using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
