How to uninstall AVG from your PC

A way to delete AVG from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is an application marketed by the software company AVG Technologies. Some users choose to erase it. Sometimes this is difficult because performing this by hand requires some advanced knowledge regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best EASY procedure to erase AVG is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general utility to take care of your Windows system.

  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools category

5. All the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate AVG or simply activate the Search feature and type in "AVG". The AVG app will be found automatically. After you click AVG in the list , the following information regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have regarding AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall AVG.

8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of AVG that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling AVG with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
