How to uninstall AVG from your computer

AVG is a software application. This page contains details on how to remove it from your computer. The Windows version was developed by AVG Technologies. Open here for more info on AVG Technologies. AVG is usually set up in the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup folder, but this location can vary a lot depending on the user's decision when installing the program. The full uninstall command line for AVG is C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup\avgsetupx.exe /mode=offline /uninstall=zen. avgntdumpx.exe is the AVG's main executable file and it occupies around 687.77 KB (704272 bytes) on disk.

AVG is comprised of the following executables which take 5.53 MB (5800240 bytes) on disk:

  • avgntdumpx.exe (687.77 KB)
  • avgsetupwrkx.exe (1.71 MB)
  • avgsetupx.exe (3.15 MB)

A considerable amount of files, folders and registry entries will be left behind when you want to remove AVG from your PC.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

How to erase AVG from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is an application offered by the software company AVG Technologies. Some users want to remove this program. 3. Press the General Tools category

5. All the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find AVG or simply click the Search field and type in "AVG". If it exists on your system the AVG app will be found very quickly. After you select AVG in the list of programs, the following information about the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall AVG.

8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of AVG that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing AVG with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
